Construction in Healthcare (CH) Training

“Construction in Healthcare Training” is a one-day (8-hour) training course designed to present the fundamentals of construction work performed within healthcare settings.  The objective of this course is to better familiarize construction trade workers and supervisors with the multi-disciplined requirements of construction work in healthcare settings.

     

The CH has been awarded:

  • American Institute of Architects (AIA) – 8 AIA/CES Credits
  • American Board of Industrial Hygienists (ABIH)  - 1.34 Safety CM points

Mold Remediator Worker (Virginia-approved training course)

This two-day (16-hour) training class, approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia to obtain licensure as a Mold Remediation Worker, provides trainees with the understanding and knowledge of how to conduct a mold remediation, per current relevant industry work practices and standards.  Per the requirements of the Virginia regulation, the course includes lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities including mold remediation setup, remediation methods, cleaning procedures, and post-remediation verification. Upon the conclusion of instruction and training course activities, an examination will be administered. The 50-question examinations will be closed-book, multiple choice questions, with a passing score of 70% or higher required for Virginia licensure. A certificate, recognized by the State of Virginia, will be provided to each student upon successful completion of the course.

This three-day (24-hour) training class is approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia to obtain licensure as a Mold Inspector. Per the requirements of the Virginia regulation, the course includes lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities directly related to the duties of a mold inspector including inspection, investigation, and survey procedures, the development of a mold management plan or mold remediation protocol, and the collection or analysis of mold sampling, as necessary. Upon the conclusion of instruction and training course activities, an examination will be administered. The 100-question examinations will be closed-book, multiple choice questions, with a passing score of 70% or higher required for Virginia licensure. A certificate, recognized by the State of Virginia, will be provided to each student upon successful completion of the course.

Council-certified Residential Microbial Remediator (CRMR) Preparatory Course

The Certified Residential Microbial Remediator (CRMR) preparatory course is a two-day (16-hour) training class design to prepare individuals pursuing the CRMR designation from the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) (formerly the American Indoor Air Quality Council, or AMIAQ) via their in-house examinations.  The CRMR prep class will introduce mold remediation concepts and approaches specific for the residential setting.

The CRMR has been awarded:

The Certified Microbial Remediator (CMR) / Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS) preparatory course is a three-day (24-hour) training session designed to prepare potential candidates for achieving professional registration from the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) / American Indoor Air Quality Council (AMIAQ) via their CMR and CMRS examinations.  The objective of this course is to better familiarize remediation workers and supervisors with a requisite understanding of work practices, protocols, rules, and industry standards for indoor microbial remediation.

Lead Based Paint Certified Renovator Training -- Initial (Full Day)

RRP is a federal regulatory program impacting contractors, property managers, and others who receive payment for services. Anyone who is paid to perform work in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities and disturbs more than 6 square feet inside, more than 20 square feet outside, or repairs or replaces windows, needs this training. This includes –   but is not limited to – contractors, carpenters, painters, plumbers, water damage restoration firms, electricians, drywall installers, HVAC technicians, window and door installers, residential property managers, and many more.

The course includes a lecture portion as well as hands-on activities. Students will be tested at the end of the course. Those earning a passing score on the exam will receive a certification that will be valid for 5 years.

Cancellations made within 2 business days of the training course will receive a 50% refund. Full credit for future courses is also available for cancellations up to 2 business days prior. No refunds will be provided to those who cancel within 2 business days of the training course.
