Archie Barrett / President 

Mr. Barrett founded Compliance Environmental International in 1993.  Building upon his vast experiences gained from service in the United States Coast Guard , a health physics technician in the nuclear power industry  and as a environmental consultant in private industry, Mr. Barrett established CEI to serve as a superior consulting firm, able to provide a wide array of industrial hygiene and environmental consulting/engineering services.  Founded upon the principle of “turning problems into solutions,” Mr. Barrett has nurtured CEI from a local service company into a full-service firm able to provide rapid, quality services throughout the Eastern United States.

As President of CEI, Mr. Barrett oversees the administrative, management, and technical operations of both the corporate headquarters (in Glen Burnie, Maryland) and southern operations (based in Charlotte, North Carolina).  He is an active member in the Environmental Information Association, and a past Certification Board member of the American Indoor Air Quality Council. Mr. Barrett is a Board Certified Indoor Air Quality Consultant, a Board Certified Microbial Consultant, and a Board Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor. He has over 25 years experience in the environmental health and safety field.

Mike Bolling / Vice President of Operations 

Mr. Bolling serves as the Vice President of Operations for CEI and has been with the company since its inception.  Mr. Bolling brought to CEI his leadership skills and regimental proficiency from his service in the United States Marine Corps. He possesses over two decades of experience in industrial hygiene consulting with an emphasis on OSHA compliance, microbial investigations, and asbestos and lead-based paint consulting.  Mr. Bolling is an accredited and licensed asbestos and lead paint consultant in Virginia and Maryland and is Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS) by the American Indoor Air Quality Council.

Mr. Bolling manages field operations and direction of the technical staff of Compliance Environmental International.  He provides quality assurance/quality control services for industrial hygiene services and internal training for staff members.  He is senior author of assessment and compliance reports and facilitates the rapid response  that CEI consistently provides.

Tim Duffy / Senior Certified Industrial Hygienist & Senior Engineer  

Mr. Duffy serves as the Senior Engineer and Certified Industrial Hygienist for CEI and possesses over 25 years of experience performing industrial hygiene and engineering assessments of real estate, health care and business operations.   His work has included:   exposure assessments, cause and origin investigations, remediation designs, and engineering control implementation.  Mr. Duffy’s experience includes expert witness testimony in court cases involving the principles of engineering and industrial hygiene.

Mr. Duffy directs the environmental engineering and industrial hygiene activities of Compliance Environmental International, serving clients which include local government agencies, property management companies, insurance companies, attorneys, and corporate clients.

Mr. Duffy is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in MD, DC, VA, NC and GA.  He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Registered Environmental Sanitarian (RS) from the state Maryland. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Towson State University and has completed his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Columbia Southern University.

Shari Solomon / Director of Training  

Ms. Solomon possesses a decade of water intrusion/mold consulting and federal regulatory experience.  In her role as the Director of Training with Compliance Environmental International, she is in charge of design and oversight of all training. Shari supports mold-related programs including litigation support, operation and maintenance policies.

Prior to joining CEI, Ms. Solomon was Director of Moisture Infiltration Services for national environmental consulting firm. On the regulatory side, she served as a Legislative Analyst with the National Multi Housing Council/National Apartment Association Joint Legislative Staff. While there she developed an expertise on mold-related issues and authored the first industry white paper as well an operations and maintenance program for mold/moisture control in apartment properties that has steadily become the industry standard of care.  Ms. Solomon served as a Fellow for the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the U.S. House of Representatives, which has jurisdiction over hazardous waste, toxic substance and clean air act issues.

A member of the Maryland State Bar, Ms. Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America.

Jeff Ogle / Industrial Hygiene Professional  

Jeffery Ogle serves as an Industrial Hygienist for CEI and possesses over 6 years of experience performing industrial hygiene services for real estate, universities, health care and business operations. He has performed numerous indoor air quality assessments relating from complaints. He has experience in a wide range of industrial hygiene service including microbial assessments, OSHA exposure assessments, asbestos surveys and environmental assessments (Phase I & II).

 

Mr. Ogle received his B.S. in Political Science from Salisbury State University.

James O'Laughlin / Industrial Hygiene Professional  

James O'Laughlin serves as an Industrial Hygienist for CEI.  A graduate of Loyola College in Maryland, Jimmy earned a B.S. degree in Biology with a focus on business operations and science, including immunology.

Mr. O'Laughlin provides a wide range of industrial hygiene service including microbial assessments, OSHA exposure assessments, asbestos surveys and environmental assessments (Phase I & II).
